I enjoy applying my marine science, policy knowledge, and research skills to support a healthy relationship between people and the marine environment. Research topics that excite me include environmental and anthropogenic forces on marine fish and shellfish populations, including their oceanographic environment, predator-prey relationships, the direct and indirect impacts of aquaculture and fisheries, contaminants, and toxins. Two themes in my research are the use of a multidisciplinary approach and a strong focus on quantitative methods. I have incorporated the fields of ecology, physiology, oceanography, chemistry, and environmental management into my research.
